Why We Do This — And How We Differ
Bettipster started in 2018 as a small side project — one analyst writing weekly Mega Jackpot slips for a handful of players who trusted his approach. It grew because those players kept coming back. Not because they won every week (they didn't — no one does), but because the analysis was honest, the results were tracked, and the losses were acknowledged.
Six years later, we're still doing the same thing, just with more subscribers and a proper track record behind us. Here's how we differ from most other prediction services in the Kenyan market.
We publish a track record — including losing weeks
Every slip we've published over the last 24 months is on our track record page — including the losing weeks. Our 75% Mega accuracy includes the failures. If we could quietly delete losing weeks, our number would be higher. But the number only means something because the losers are in it.
We name the analyst
Every slip is signed off by Mark Juma. Not "our team of experts." Not "professional tipsters." One person, by name, accountable for every pick. If you have a question about a fixture, you can contact us and reach the analyst who made the call.
We charge one price — no tiered predictions
Every slip is KSh 99. There is no cheaper "basic" tier and no more expensive "premium" tier. Some tipster sites structure their pricing to make the standard tier look weak so they can upsell you to a VIP subscription — we don't. Every subscriber gets the same complete analysis.

We document our methodology
Most tipster sites hide behind vague "proprietary systems" and "expert analysis." We don't. Our three-layer model is documented in detail:
- Layer 1 — Statistical modelling. 40+ metrics per fixture, including expected goals, defensive vulnerability, and recency-weighted form.
- Layer 2 — Contextual scoring. Rotation risk, motivation, travel, squad availability, and managerial changes applied on top of the base probability.
- Layer 3 — Expert review. Every pick reviewed by Mark Juma, with anything below 85% confidence downgraded or dropped.
We're independent — and we say so
Bettipster is not affiliated with SportPesa. We're a sports analysis service — independent. We don't receive commissions for bets placed through our recommendations. We don't have a referral deal with any bookmaker. Our revenue comes entirely from KSh 99 slips.
This matters because it removes the incentive to inflate our accuracy or push you toward specific bets. We make money when subscribers find the analysis valuable enough to come back. Nothing else.
