Why We Publish Losing Weeks
Most prediction sites advertise a "95% accuracy rate" that has never been audited. Some quietly delete losing weeks from their feeds. Others count only "top picks" and ignore the rest of the slip. The result is a number that means nothing — a marketing figure dressed up as performance data.
We take the opposite approach. Every slip we publish is logged, timestamped, and its result is recorded whether it wins or loses. Losing weeks stay in the log. They also stay in the average. That's the only way the 75% figure on this page means anything.
What gets tracked
For every slip we publish, we log:
- The date and week number. So you can cross-reference with actual SportPesa fixture lists.
- The jackpot type. Mega (17 games) or Midweek (13 games).
- The number of correct predictions. Whatever the actual result was — 14/17, 11/17, 8/13, whatever.
- The percentage. Straight math: correct divided by total games.
- The payout tier. Whether the result hit a bonus tier or produced no payout.
Every slip we publish through the SMS system can be requested for verification. If you want to see the actual picks we made in a specific week, we can provide them — along with the result they produced.
What we don't do
It's worth being explicit about the ways other prediction services inflate their numbers. We avoid all of them:
- We don't delete losing weeks. If a week is in the log, it stays in the log. Even bad weeks.
- We don't count "top picks only." Our 75% Mega accuracy is calculated across all 17 games on every slip. It's not a "top 5 picks" number dressed up as overall accuracy.
- We don't skip weeks. If we published a slip, it counts. If we didn't publish a slip that week (rare — usually only for maintenance), that week is noted.
- We don't replace picks after the fact. Every slip is timestamped. The picks you see in the log are the picks that were sent out.
- We don't claim 95% accuracy. Our numbers are the numbers. If we could honestly claim 95%, we would — but we can't, and anyone who can is lying.
How to verify our claims independently
If you want to independently verify any specific week on our log, here's how:
- Check the SportPesa historical results. Every jackpot result is publicly available from SportPesa. Compare our logged picks to those results.
- Request the slip. If you're a subscriber, message us on WhatsApp with the week number and we'll send the actual slip that went out that week.
- Check the timestamp. All slips are timestamped at publication. If we ever adjusted picks after the fact, the timestamps would show it.
We do not hide behind "proprietary" analysis. The method is documented (see the methodology hub), and the results are public. Any pick we publish can be audited.
Why accuracy matters more than "big wins"
Marketing-driven prediction services emphasise their biggest wins — "14/17! Historic payout!" — because a single spectacular result is memorable. But jackpot prediction is a long game, and the edge comes from consistency, not from outliers.
A service that hits 14/17 once every two years but averages 55% is worse for a serious player than a service that consistently hits 72–75%. The consistent service produces more bonus-tier results over a year, which is where the money actually lives.
We deliberately report the average, not the headline win. The average is what you actually get when you play every week.
What the 75% number actually means for you
It's tempting to read "75% accuracy" as a promise. It isn't. Here's what the number actually represents:
- Across all 17 games on every Mega slip we've published over 24 months, 75% have hit correctly.
- That means a typical slip produces around 12–13 correct predictions out of 17.
- On the Midweek, the number is 78% — roughly 10–11 correct out of 13.
- Banker pick accuracy is 89% — the highest-confidence section of the slip hits nearly 9 in 10.
A single week's result can vary widely — some weeks come in at 14/17, others at 10/17. The 75% is the rolling average over 24 months, and it's the number that actually predicts future performance.
